ALIKHAN ABDOLAHI

Born in march 1962 in Bamiyan, Afghanistan, belonging to the Hazara tribe. During the first days of the civil war he emigrated with his father to Pakistan to start a new life. After five years of struggle, he decided to emigrate yet again, this time to Iran. During the first years the struggle continued, with hardly anything even to feed himself. Eventually he found a job in a construction site .

At 15 years old he encountered a man who would change his life. At that time, the old man used to sit in front of the building in which Alikhan worked and draw on cartons and boards with his fingers. Every day, Alikhan offered him tea and little by little he became his companion, a friendship that lasted for a long time. He bought posters for Hazer Moshar in the bazaar to sell among his works and the benefit was shared between them. Although they knew nothing about sculpture, they ventured into the experience.
